Stephen Baumgartner, MPT

Stephen Baumgartner MPTStephen Baumgartner MPT, was born in Santa Monica and raised in Granada Hills. He attended a local private high school, Chaminade College Preparatory High School. This is where he began to have an interest in higher-level sports and injuries that can occur while playing sports. He played Varsity Football, Soccer and Baseball. He then attended UCLA and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He continued to be influenced by sports injuries and compelled by the rehabilitation process for all injuries. After completing his degree at UCLA, he then attended Mt. Saint Mary College where he graduated with a Masters in Physical Therapy in 1993.

In 1993, upon the completion of his Physical Therapy Degree, he was hired at Kaiser Permanente Hospital where he worked and continued his education, completing a year long Manual Therapy Program. In 1995, he opened his first private physical therapy office in West Los Angeles followed shortly after by his second location in 1996 in Malibu. In 2001, he opened his third office in the place where Stephen considers home. He enjoys being able to treat patients in the Santa Clarita Valley where he lives. He is inspired by how strong and motivated his patients are to improve and enjoys seeing them through their rehabilitation process.

Stephen is married and has two children. When he is not working, he enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with family.


Blake Baumgartner, Doctor of Physical Therapy, DPT

Blake Baumgartner, Doctor of Physical Therapy, DPTBlake Baumgartner, Doctor of Physical Therapy, DPT, was raised in Santa Clarita where he attended West Ranch High School. He played Varsity Baseball at West Ranch and continued his D1 baseball career at the University of California San Diego. While playing college baseball he earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus in Human Health and a minor in Biology. Throughout his baseball career he gained a great appreciation for the human body and the recovery process where he became interested in the field of physical therapy. He then attended California State University Northridge where he graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Blake is excited to join the practice and is looking forward to serving the community. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, watching sports, hanging out with friends and spending time with family.


Eliza Guillinta, RPT

Eliza Guillinta, RPTEliza was born in Cebu City, Philippines. She graduated from Velez College Physical Therapy program in 1999. She started working for Velez Hospital Rehabilitation Center where she treated patients mostly in Neuro Rehabilitation. She worked with patients with CVA/Stroke, SCI(Spinal Cord Injuries) and TBI(Traumatic Brain Injury). Eliza came to California in 2002 and started her training in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. She immediately became very interested in Manual Therapy. She has been working at B & B Physical Therapy since 2011 and enjoys treating her patients and helping them recover from their injuries. Eliza loves all her patients and is very happy to be a part of their lives. Her other interests include reading Sci Fi, Fantasy, Mystery Novels, and Mangas (Japanese Graphic novels). She is a big Star Wars and Harry Potter fan. Eliza is married and has one daughter. They live in Valencia.



Paul Afanasyev, PTA

Paul Afanasyev, PTABorn in Nikolayev, Ukraine, Pavel (Paul) Afanasyev, PTA, immigrated to the United States in 1999 at the age of 7. He later pursued a career in physical therapy, graduating from Concorde Career College's Physical Therapy Assistant program in 2018. Passionate about helping others achieve long-term physical health, Paul is dedicated to educating his patients on techniques and concepts that promote both short- and long-term well-being. He finds great satisfaction in enhancing his patients' physical capabilities, leading to functional progress that ultimately improves their lives. Outside of his professional work, Paul is also interested in the automotive industry and technology. His athletic background includes long-distance running and recreational basketball, and he remains physically active. Paul is married and lives in Van Nuys with his cat, Max.
